
Dancer, choreographer and philosopher
He is a contemporary and flamenco dancer, choreographer and philosopher from Madrid.
He has a PhD in Aesthetics, Sciences and Technologies of the Arts (Speciality in Dance and Arts of the Gestures) in Paris VIII University.
He has won the 1st Dance Research Award of the Academia de las Artes Escénicas de España. He has been also awarded with the Best Dancer Award in the 19th Muestra de Danza El Álamo and the DanceWeb Scholarship in Impulstanz Festival of Vienna.
Since 2009, he has directed his own company in the field of contemporary flamenco, having premiered more than ten shows in which dance, words and music are intermingled, going beyond all labels.
He has also collaborated with some of the most important contemporary flamenco dancers as choreographic advisor and dramaturg as Belén Maya, Juan Carlos Lérida, Olga Pericet, José Manuel Álvarez, Poliana Lima, etc.
He is author of few papers, chapters of books and several books: “Espejismos de la identidad coreográfica: estética y transformaciones de la farruca”, “De puertas para adentro: disidencia sexual y disconformidad de género en la tradición flamenca” (2017), “Historia queer del flamenco” (2020) and “Esto jamás podré contarlo” (2022).
